Our sincerest desire is to maintain a consistent level of photographic proficiency, therefore many workshops for Advanced Amateurs and Professionals require a submission of images prior to acceptance. Your application and deposit will reserve a space in the workshop of your choice, but you are not officially accepted into a workshop that requires a portfolio until we review appropriate samples of your photography. Images are reviewed by Workshops staff.
If we do not feel that your choice is appropriate, we will call you and discuss other possibilities. If you choose not to transfer to a suggested alternate workshop, we will refund the deposit, less the $45 application fee.
After applying for the workshop, submit your images using the following guidelines:
Portfolio Requirements
SUBMIT TWENTY PHOTOGRAPHS: Email is the preferred method of submission, but slides, printed materials, and other digital submissions are all accepted, including web sites.
Digital Guidelines
• Images should be formatted as 72 dpi JPEGs at 5" x 7"
• Images can be sent via email to portfolio@santafeworkshops.com
• Images on a CD/DVD must include your contact information on the label, and filenames must include your first and last name
Slides/Print Guidelines
• Slides must be contained in a transparent sleeve(s)
• Tear sheets, promo cards, and prints should be unmounted and in a protective envelope or container
OPTIONAL RETURN POSTAGE: Include appropriate pre-paid shipping or mailing label, or sufficient funds, for return of your materials. Otherwise, we still store your portfolio and return it upon your arrival in Santa Fe.
