Carlan Tapp

Carlan Tapp is a photojournalist and educator dedicated to documenting the social and environmental issues that define our times. Schooled in photography at Art Center College of Design, Carlan had the extraordinary opportunity to work for three years as a teaching assistant with Ansel Adams in the Yosemite Workshops.

A sensitive eye and an intimate relationship to his subjects are the signatures of Carlan’s work. His photographs have been used in numerous publications including New Mexico Magazine, Associated Press, NPR’s “Living on Earth”, Honor the Earth, and Sierra Club, and his project work was nominated for the National Geographic All Roads Projects. His photo essays are syndicated nationally and internationally by Redux Pictures in New York. This is Carlan’s ninth year teaching at the Workshops. His web site is www.carlantapp.com.
